Some NHL players I'm scared of for fantasy this year.

1. Anthony Beauvillier, Winger, VAN- Anthony, after last year finding himself traded to Vancouver flirted with top 6 ice time and seemed to look decent and put up some decent stats. After an offseason and training camp Anthony finds himself on the third line averaging 13:06 minutes of ice time, and behind names like Philip Di Giuseppe and Conor Garland. Anthony finds himself luckily on the PP2, but the other names on that line don't really move the needle(Nils Hoglander, Pius Suter, Conor Garland, and Filip Hronek). Anthony isn't giving any peripheral stats either to fall back on when he isn't showing up on the box score, despite Rick Tocchet's gritty coaching style.

2. Jared McCann, Winger, SEA- I think McCann had a Will Karlsson like season last year. McCann, has 500 games played and is roughly .50 points per game. His 40 goal outburst last year is an severe aberattion. If you had the luxury of his season last year, I would sell now before water finds it level, and he falls back to earth.

3. Charlie Coyle, Center/Winger, BOS- The hope with the departure of Bergeron and Krecji, was for the remaining core to pick up some of the slack; it turns out, that slack has fallen on the goaltending and defense while the offense is hard to come by. Coyle, himself, is not playing particularly bad, but from a fantasy perspective is less than to be desired. His current demotion to the third line, to a newcomer Poitras has him stuck in the mire that is JVR, and Trent Frederic.

4. Anders Lee, Winger, NYI - This might be common knowledge by now, but Lee is getting older and his spot on the roster is waning. He's a third liner on a bad offensive team. We know his ceiling as well and it's pretty low. Lee is a better real life player than a fantasy relevant player.

5. Kailer Yamamoto, Winger, SEA- Kailer is being used in a 4th line capacity on a currently underperforming Seattle squad. Yamamoto also doesn't particularly play a "grindy" 4th line game. He is most likely a drop in almost any league scoring configuration and any style from redraft to dynasty.
